noun

Definition

An Aviation Maintenance Technician (or AMT) will maintain and inspect aircraft to meet FAA regulations and standards. The maintenance they perform can be either planned, predictive, or preventative. Both standard Visual Inspection and Remote Visual Inspection (RVI) methods are frequently used. With the help of Inspection Cameras, these professionals can ensure that aircraft remains in a profitable state; in the air. Many parts of the aircraft can be inspected using standard Visual Inspection, but others are done more efficiently by using Borescopes, Videoscopes, and other Inspection Cameras.
